Match Report
Bromsgrove School Girls-U12A vs  IAPS Hockey National Finals
On: Tuesday, 27 Nov 2018
Venue: Away

On Monday night, the U12 girls travelled down to Hurstpierpoint College in East Sussex for the National IAPS National Hockey Finals on Tuesday. The girls played Hazlegrove in their first game which they held to a 0 - 0 draw despite chances for both sides. In the second game against Downsend School, Bromsgrove looked strong in attack, but again couldn’t find the back of goal and drew 0 - 0. We played Twyford School next and unfortunately lost 1 - 0. Against St Faith’s, Bromsgrove found themselves defending for most of the game and couldn’t get on the attack losing the game 3 - 0. Against Bede’s Prep, Bromsgrove played much better hockey and were able to move the ball freely, enabling them to score from open play. We had many more opportunities but frustratingly couldn’t score but nevertheless won 1 - 0. In the final game, we played Cranleigh School. We were very evenly matched and again had many opportunities to score but it wasn’t our day and lost 2 - 0.

Well done to all the girls who represented the school at such a high level and should be congratulated on being placed 5th in their group.
